The decision to presenting this case report was made after receiving written and oral consent from our patient. The patient’s follow-up went smoothly and she was discharged after post-natal reconstructive surgery was scheduled. ![]() The histopathologic evaluation of the specimen revealed marked lactation changes of the epithelial component and increased vascularization in the stroma. On 6 th postoperative day, surgical debridement was performed for necrosis that had developed on the left areola and parts of skin. The measurements of the excised tissue from the right and left breasts were 3750 gr and 3700 gr, respectively. Therefore, the reconstruction was postponed to another session. However, the operation was finalized after completion of bilateral subcutaneous mastectomy due to acute hemorrhage causing hemodynamic instability and severe anemia (intraoperative hemoglobin 5.7 11.2 g/dL). At the 24 th gestational week, the patient was scheduled bilateral subcutaneous mastectomy and implant placement. Breast ultrasonographic examination revealed diffuse hypoechoic areas with increased vascularity there were no subcutaneous fat planes or solid/cystic masses in either breast. The patient weighed 75 kg and was 165 cm in height, with a body mass index (BMI) of 28 kg/m 2. Additionally, the patient had back pain, difficulty in movement, and difficulty in meeting daily needs. Physical examination findings were extreme growth in both breasts, distinct subcutaneous venous structures, and some necrotic areas on the skin ( Figure 1). She noticed excessive and rapid breast growth after the 14 th week of pregnancy there was no family history of a similar condition. The patient was in her third pregnancy and had experienced breast growth within physiologic limits in her previous pregnancies. A pregnant woman aged 26 years with no apparent systemic disease and medication history who was 22 weeks pregnant was admitted to our breast surgery outpatient clinic because of rapid growth in both breasts, which caused back pain, and difficulty in movement. ![]() ![]() ![]() Trading in your bachelor life for a ball and chain? While not a whole lot is known about what Siri improvements could come with iOS 11, one report claimed that Apple will update Siri with iMessage integration, iCloud syncing, and the ability to learn from user behaviors. Siri all around has fallen behind Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa, so Apple desperately needs put its Siri efforts into high gear. Moving too fast can catch the game off-guard areas beyond doors won’t appear until you’re close and long falls can be paused mid-air to load the levels below. Hall of mirrors – Due to the finite constraints of hardware a game obviously cannot generate infinity, and the game buckles under the pressure of making you believe it can. ![]() ![]() The game fully relies on its world and level design to keep players engaged, and those aspects are easily strong enough to support the entire experience. Everything you need to know is clearly presented in the environment there’s no dialogue, writing or story of any sort. The sharp, minimalist direction also makes levels incredibly easy to read, with sparse coloring only used to highlight important information. The game is rendered with crisp cel-shading and a mostly grey palette, beautifully evoking its artistic inspiration. Infinity and beyond – The game’s ideas would mean nothing if not paired with the unique art direction. Between the infinite loop and gravity switching, there are so many unique avenues of navigation that you’ll need to completely rethink your approach to seemingly basic platforming challenges. The game lacks a jump button, but any gap can be crossed with careful aim and a long fall in moments where you’re locked into one gravitational plane this skill is vital in getting around. Walk off the edge of the world, and you’ll fall right back where you started. The very ground you stand on also exists above, below, in front of, behind, and beside you ad infinitum. Recursion – As if being able to walk on every inch of a level wasn’t enough, there’s also an infinitely repeating void to explore. Puzzle design is varied and compelling, capable enough to keep things engaging throughout a surprisingly meaty runtime. Some puzzles are in huge open areas that focus more on navigation, while those that require more complex tinkering are contained in rooms just big enough to fit the idea it’s going for. Juggling so much freedom at all times can be daunting, but the learning curve is gradual enough that you’re never left at a loss. While the type of puzzle tasks are familiar, from putting boxes on buttons to forging new pathways, having the solutions spread among six interconnected yet discrete floors really mixes up that formula. ![]() Objects will become grayed out the moment you switch gravity, freezing them in place. The coloring also highlights what you can currently interact with, as only objects on the same plane as you are available for use. Every plane has its own color, easing the confusion you might get while navigating the topsy-turvy hallways. Since everything in the game is at a right angle, that makes six planes of gravity that can be traversed. Just walk up to any wall and you can step right on it, flipping the entire world 90 degrees. If anyone were to look at the iconic image and think “but how are those people actually getting around?”, they’d probably be the person responsible for Manifold Garden.Ĭlimbing the alls – Manifold Garden lets you walk all over it, and I mean that literally. For most, the work is simply something to be admired, or an easy referential shorthand for a distorted reality. The iconic image image was created in 1953, depicting gravity-defying pedestrians traversing an intersection of staircases coming from above, below and sideways. The most iconic work of MC Escher is Relativity, or as Stewie Griffin calls it, “Crazy Stairs”. ![]() ![]() Other names had been used informally by the New Horizons science team to describe the many regions, mountain ranges, plains, valleys and craters discovered during the first close-up look at the surfaces of Pluto and its largest moon, Charon. Some of the names were suggested by members of the public during the 'Our Pluto' campaign, which was launched as a partnership between the IAU, the New Horizons project and the SETI Institute. Tenzing Montes and Hillary Montes are mountain ranges honouring Tenzing Norgay (1914-1986) and Sir Edmund Hillary (1919-2008), the Indian/Nepali Sherpa and New Zealand mountaineer who were the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest and return safely. NASA's New Horizons team proposed the names to the IAU following the first reconnaissance of Pluto and its moons by the New Horizons spacecraft. This is the first set of official names of surface features on Pluto to be approved by the Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), the internationally recognised authority for naming celestial bodies and their surface features. The names pay homage to the underworld mythology, pioneering space missions, historic pioneers who crossed new horizons in exploration, and scientists and engineers associated with Pluto and the Kuiper Belt. So, for the Spanish preterite endings, we can focus on the -ar preterite and -ir / -er preterite. There are two forms for the regular preterite conjugations in Spanish: one for verbs that end in -ar, and another for verbs that end in -er or -ir. The preterite form can be either regular or irregular. – Me sentía bastante enfermo así que no fui a la oficina. I felt pretty sick so I didn’t go to the office.– Tenía nueve años cuando nació mi hermana. It was sunny when I left this morning. When describing the environment in a story, or setting the stage for another event – Cuando era niña, visitaba a mi abuela todos los fines de semana. When I was a little girl, I would visit my grandma every weekend. So when to use preterite vs imperfect Spanish? Let’s take a look at some of the identifying features of the Spanish imperfect tense. When do we use the imperfect tense in Spanish? ![]() You know when it happened, and you know that it’s over. Meanwhile, the preterite is like a bird flying into your window. It can’t be contained within clear beginning and endpoints or labeled with a date, it’s just an easy breeze. The difference between preterite and imperfect is that preterite is used for more specific points in time, whereas with imperfect, it may not be clear when the event started or ended, perhaps because it’s a habit or condition. The imperfect tense is a more general tense, used to talk about events that perhaps are still ongoing, or that do not have a definitive beginning and end. Past tense Spanish has another major player in this game called the imperfect. You can often translate simple past in English to the preterite, with a few important exceptions. To turn (a certain age), To have a birthday Some verbs, simply because their meaning represents an interruption, a beginning or end, or a specific one-time event, are almost always used in the preterite tense. Verbs Almost Always Used in the Preterite These words show that you’re talking about a specific time and a specific moment, so although they don’t always mean preterite, they should definitely make your ears perk up and show you that you will most likely be using preterite. Some words and phrases that trigger the preterite tense When speaking about the beginning or end of something In this example, the fact that we listed a specific amount of time, three hours, is a sign that we’re talking about something that began and ended, so it should be in the preterite tense. I worked in the cafe for three hours, but I never paid my bill! – Trabajé en el café durante tres horas, ¡pero nunca pagué la cuenta!.To talk about an action that went on for a specific amount of time – Yo estaba cruzando la calle cuando la mesera me gritó. I was crossing the street when the waitress shouted at me.To talk about an action that interrupted another action – Te vi, cerré mi compu, y fui a saludarte. I saw you, I closed my laptop, and I went over to say hi.In this example, the fact that we said “yesterday” is a tip-off that we should use preterite because it shows we are talking about something that happened at a specific moment. To talk about something that happened at a specific point in the past The preterite is often referred to as simple past Spanish, or even just the Spanish past tense. It’s used to describe events that happened and ended in the past, such as events that have a clear beginning and end. Preterite is one of the most common tenses used to speak about the past in Spanish. Let’s get started! What is Preterite Tense We’ll finish up with a nice list of preterite conjugations for many of the most common verbs in Spanish. ![]() Preterite conjugations can get a little bit spicy, so here we’ll go over the preterite conjugation and preterite endings, including the preterite irregulars and preterite stem-changing verbs. The other Spanish simple past tense is called imperfect, so we’ll cover its details as well in order to compare preterite vs imperfect. The Spanish preterite is most similar to the simple past tense in English, comparable to adding -ed to the end of a word, although there are some important differences that we’ll get into. We mean one-and-done, clear-cut actions in the past. So, we don’t use preterite tense Spanish to describe a scene, or to talk about actions that were habits or a process. There are other past tenses in Spanish, but you only use the preterite when you are talking about actions in the past that have been completed, and that have a definitive beginning and end. When speaking in the past tense in Spanish, we use the preterite tense, or pretérito simple. ![]() ![]() ![]() It was this perspective from which they established the Fraternity's purpose, "The development and perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood among Men."
